For example it will be impossible to progress an application as a Host Family or as an Au-Pair candidate without using your real name and collecting certain personal details.

Subsequent information such as nationality, languages spoken and interests, where relevant to the application process, will be required.

Typically, we receive this information directly from you, either via this website or in subsequent communications directly with you (email, phone call, in person).

In certain situations, we may receive your personal information from third parties, and in these cases we will protect it as set out in this Privacy Policy. For example, this may include referrals from other candidates or Host families, as well as results from reference checks and police checks (e.g. when going through the application process).

We collect and use the personal information you provide us for the purpose of matching Host families to suitable au-pair candidates, as well as to contact and communicate with you, for internal record keeping and for marketing our services to you (in very limited circumstances).

We may disclose personal information to our employees and third parties who are involved in the purposes including to provide our products and services to you, and as required by law.

Where we disclose your personal information to third parties for these purposes, we will request that the third party follow this Privacy Policy regarding handling of your personal information.

Necessarily, this may include disclosure of personal information to individuals located overseas, for example providing Host Family details to prospective Au Pairs located overseas. However, in these cases you will be made aware prior to any disclosure.

Correction: If you believe that any information we hold on you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, please contact us by email. We rely in part upon customers advising us when their personal information changes.  We will respond to any request within a reasonable time.  We will endeavor to promptly correct any information found to be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
